Our History

With a family heritage in the steel industry since the 1920's, beginning with a grandfather who worked with American Wire and U.S. Steel and a father in the Overhead Crane & Hoist industry since 1959, Ron Everling opened the doors to Advanced Crane & Hoist Services in 1989.

He began working with his father in 1979, while still in high school with Crane & Hoist Services in Birmingham, Alabama. With the help of his late wife, Sue Everling and several key employees such as Leon Falstaff, our Service Manager for over 25 years, Advanced Crane & Hoist Services has been serving the Houston Metroplex, the nearby cities of Beaumont, Dallas, San Antonio, and Corpus Christi, along with customers across the United States, into Mexico and Canada, and across the world for over 30 years. With a broad family history serving the industrial world and with quality professional support from long-standing employees, our customers find us easy to do business with, and they know that they can call on us 24 hours a day, seven days a week to get them Up and Running when the chips are down.

ACHS has a long-standing history with the major Crane & Hoist vendors across the world, from the ageless P&H Harnishfaeger to Demag to Columbus McKinnon with Shaw-Box, Yale, CM & Coffing to Detroit Hoists, Harrington Hoists, R&M and many of the old-time manufacturers such as Shepard Niles and Wright. Advanced Crane & Hoist Services has worked on everything from the Milwaukee and the Jet, to the Bear and the Kone and Kranco and every brand in-between. We have worked with most of the Crane Manufacturers who fabricate the structural steel into Overhead Cranes, Jib Cranes, Workstation Cranes and Gantry Cranes, and we do all the fabrication within our plant.

It doesn't matter if you need a wheel, an end-truck, a complete crane-kit rebuild, or a new OH explosion proof system up to 100 Ton, you will find that we will support your every need from manual equipment and small, push-pull crane workstations to large base jib cranes and Overhead Cranes and Crane Systems that can serve your every need. We keep a large inventory of parts on-hand in order to provide you with quick turnaround, exactly as ordered, shipped to you on-time, just like you ask for.
